Extreme factors, such as heat and dirt, can damage the German latex and affect its performance. It is very important to follow the instructions below to get the most out of your gloves and extend their life.
◉ Peel Plastic film off slowly and carefully to avoid damaging the latex. (in the case that the model you have chosen comes with the protective film).
◉ Prewash your N1 gloves 1-3 times to activate the grip.
Important: It is normal for the gloves to lose some grip after the first wash. The grip is fully activated after 2-3 pre-washes, or after using them 1-2 times (preferably during training).
During training and matches there will always be some wear and abrasion on the latex palm of the glove. This is a normal process, but will never affect the grip performance of your N1 gloves.
◉ Moisten gloves before and during use.
◉ Avoid palm contact with the ground by using good technique.
◉ Avoid constantly raising socks, carrying goals, nets or any object with gloves on.
◉ Wash your N1 gloves regularly after each use
◉ Store gloves in the N1 glove bag away from heat and sunlight.
1. Wash the gloves with warm water (Not hot).
2. Immerse gloves in water and squeeze out any dirt and sweat.
3. Do NOT rub or twist the gloves to avoid damaging the latex.
4. Do NOT use detergent. Use gentle natural soap only.
5. Repeat this process until gloves are free of dirt, sweat and soap.
6. Squeeze the gloves to remove any excess water. Do not twist. (You can use a towel to absorb excess water).
7. Hang them dry away from heat and sunlight. (Never use a dryer).
A professional goalkeeper usually uses 1 glove every 2-3 weeks due to the maximum demand in training and competitions.
With the N1 gloves, you can use the same gloves as the professionals.
Most amateur goalkeepers wear 3-4 pairs of gloves a year. So you can expect a shelf life of your N1 gloves of 2-3 months.
Keep in mind that abrasion and natural wear of the gloves may appear from the first use, but this does not mean that you cannot use your gloves for 2 to 3 months.
Optimum care and fine-tuned technique can help increase the life of your N1 gloves.
